FRIDAY 20TH JULY 2012 - COMEDY SHOWTIME AT PINE LAKE RESORT, CARNFORTH, LA6 1JZ

This event has been put together by a team of 5 people which include Britain's Got Talent finalist Steven Hall, Elaine Burke, John Boardley, Bob Christie and Nigel Cruck.

The night is adults only and begins at 7:30pm for an 8pm start and will finish at approximately 10:30pm.

The evening will include Steven Hall's unique act, singing, guitar playing, stand up comedy and there will be a raffle during the evening. There will be a bar at this event also so you can make a full night of it if you wish as I believe the bar will remain open after the event.

Tickets cost £5 each.

FRIDAY 10TH AUGUST 2012 - RYAN STANFORD APPEAL 3RD ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF COMPETITION AT HEYSHAM GOLF CLUB

We are holding our 3rd annual charity golf competition at Heysham Golf Club, Trumacar Park, Middleton Road, Heysham. LA3 3JH.

The event will be a pairs competition played over 18 holes.

Heysham Golf Club have given us a block booking of tee times between 1pm and 4pm.

Entry fee for the competition will be £20.00 per person.

SATURDAY15TH SEPTEMBER 2012 - BUPA JUNIOR & MINI GREAT NORTH RUN 2012, NEWCASTLE (3-16 YEAR OLDS)

The Junior and Mini Great North Run returns on Saturday 15 September...2012 and in Olympic year itâ€Ã¢â€žÂ¢s set to be better than ever, featuring as part of an action packed day on the stunning NewcastleGateshead Quayside.

Both routes will include a section of a purpose built athletics track which will see some of the worldâ€Ã¢â€žÂ¢s best athletes competing in the Great North CityGames on the same day, so who knows, you might be running over the same track as an Olympic medallist!

The Mini event covers 1.5km and is suitable for children aged 3-8 years - all runners may be accompanied by an adult. The Junior event is 4km and suitable for those aged 9-16 years, with adult accompaniment optional.

Prizes are offered for the first three boys and girls in each Mini run wave and for the Junior run in the following categories:

Boys 9-10 years, 11-12 years, 13-14 years, 15-16 years
Girls 9-10 years, 11-12 years, 13-14 years, 15-16 years

All runners will receive a t-shirt, medal and finisher's pack.

Junior and Mini runners will get entry into The Great North Run Pasta Party with free pasta for every runner, and there will be lots of 'Come and Try It' activities on offer, giving children the chance to try out new sports.

With both events selling out in 2011, this is the biggest and most popular children's running event in the country. Donâ€Ã¢â€žÂ¢t miss out!

SUNDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER 2012 - BUPA GREAT NORTH RUN, NEWCASTLE

For anybody who is interested in raising funds and awareness for the Ryan Stanford Appeal, we still have two unallocated charity places for the Bupa Great North Run 2012 in Newcastle. 13 mile course run by 54,000 runners - Sunday 16th September 2012. SATURDAY 17TH APRIL 2010 - CHARITY BAG PACK, SAINSBURYS, LANCASTER

We managed to raise an amazing £595.54 for the appeal!!

Thank you to everybody who came to help - Helen, Michelle, Meg, Mark, Cheryl, Rebecca, Rach, Jack, Mandy, Georgia, Rachel, Amy and last but not least Ryan!!

SUNDAY 2ND MAY 2010 - THE BABY MAZE BABY & TODDLER SHOW 2010 AT THE PLATFORM, MORECAMBE

Weraised £52.43 at the Baby Maze Baby & Toddler Show at the Platform, Morecambe.

Unfortunately, Ryan was extremely grumpy and cried the whole time so I apologise to everybody who heard him!

MONDAY 3RD MAY 2010 - 11:40AM START - GILLIONS 5K FUN RUN AT CROSBY, LIVERPOOL

Owen Gigg took part in the Gillions Fun Run and raised £130.00 + Gift Aidfor the Ryan Stanford Appeal.

Huge thanks to Owen who has already signed up for another fundraising event - the Sefton Triathlon on 26th June 2010.

TUESDAY 4TH MAY 2010 - SATURDAY 8TH MAY 2010 - LADOS "THE PAJAMA GAME", GRAND THEATRE, LANCASTER

Thank you so much to LADOS (Lancaster Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society) who authorised us to do a bucket collection in aid of the appeal on every night of their performance of "The Pajama Game" - we raised a total of £449.48!!

SUNDAY 9TH MAY 2010 - BEAVERBROOKS BLACKPOOL 10K

Ten people ran and completedthe Beaverbrooks Blackpool 10K in aid of the Ryan Stanford Appeal.

MONDAY 10TH MAY 2010 - GREAT ECCLESTON LADIES NFU - CHARITY NIGHT, OUT RAWCLIFFE VILLAGE HALL

The Ryan Stanford Appeal and the Air Ambulance were both selected as this event's chosen charities.

The event consisted of a coffee evening with a buffet, a raffle, tombola, cake stall, plant stall, fresh produce stall and a gift stall.

We received a cheque for £515.00 for the appeal!!

MONDAY 17TH MAY 2010 - 9AM TO 6PM - DANA HAND CAR WASH, BULK ROAD, LANCASTER, LA1 1DF

Dana Hand Car Wash and its customers raised £150.00 for the appeal by having a charity car wash day.

FRIDAY 21ST MAY 2010 - 5PM TO 9PM - BOLTON-LE-SANDS CE PRIMARY SCHOOL "AN EVENING OF FUN"

Thank you once again to Amyfor setting this opportunity up for us.

We raised £67.41 on the night for the appeal - thanks to Ryan's big sister Megan and her school friends Kayleigh and Iona for helping on the stand for the night.

Sequence Steppers are a group of friends who organise dances at Barton Village Hall, Nr Preston on a fortnightly basis, always on a Thursday. They normally have live music, sell home-made refreshments and run a raffle. All profit is donated to local charities and worthy causes.

Amy-Jo won the Furness Building Society Charity Challenge raising an amazing £1,000 cash prize for the Ryan Stanford Appeal.

What an amazing voice she has (look her up on YouTube!) and what an incredible 13 year old!!

6TH-14TH JUNE 2011 - TEAM OF 5 RAISING FUNDS BIKING OVER TO SPAIN AND BACK!

Caz Cartmell, a good friend of mine who I was studying my QS degree with prior to Ryan falling poorly, has recently informed me that her lovely husband, Ade and 4 others are raising money for the appeal by biking from Blackpool, UK to Spain and back - a mere 2000 mile round trip!!

17TH JULY 2011 - RYAN STANFORD APPEAL FAMILY FUN DAY ORGANISED BY CAROLINE WARNE, FAMILY AND FRIENDS AT KIRKHAM & WESHAM CRICKET CLUB, WOODLANDS AVENUE, KIRKHAM, PR4 2JQ

 

A good friend of ours, Caroline Warne is, along with her friends and family, organised a Charity Family Fun Day for the appeal at Kirkham Cricket Club, Nr Preston.The weather certainly was not our side hence many outdoor activities had to be cancelled however both myself and Dave were touched to see how many people had turned up to support the appeal. They raised a grand total of £311.75 for the appeal. Without people like these giving their time and effort to raise funds for the appeal, we would not be where we are today.... Thank you so much to everybody - both organisers and those who supported the event in some way...

P.S. Caroline, family and friends also rallied round to get winners prizes and auction prizes for the golf competition - this has so far generated a further £50.00 for the appeal xx

SATURDAY 13TH AUGUST 2011 - RYAN STANFORD APPEAL SPONSORED PUB CRAWL - 31 PUBS IN UNDER 13 HOURS STARTING AND FINISHING AT THE YORK PUB, MORECAMBE

Massive thanks to the 13 people who took part in the sponsored pub crawl last Saturday - 31 pubs in under 13 hours. Just from collecting in the pubs you visited, you raised £613.09!! Obviously then the sponsor money is on top of this. Many thanks to Helen Capstick, Sue Taylor and Linda Murray for organising this event and also to Mick and Lynn at the York pub, Morecambe and to Roy and Claire at the Three Mariners, Lancaster for providing much needed food along the way. Well done everyone!!
